Transforming an unfinished basement nook into a luxurious bourbon tasting experience, this project encapsulates the perfect blend of rustic charm and refined sophistication. Designed and created for a private client who appreciates both heritage and craftsmanship, this space is a tribute to timeless materials and personal history.
THE BOURBON Experience FEATURES:
Red Oak Shelving from the Client's Property: The floating shelves were meticulously crafted from a red oak tree that fell during a storm on the client’s property. This connection to their land breathes life into the space, with each shelf showcasing the tree’s natural grain, adding both personal and aesthetic value.
Reclaimed Bourbon Barrel Stave Wall: To honor the rich history of bourbon making, used bourbon barrel staves were incorporated into the wall design, adding texture and depth. The aged wood tells the story of past bourbons while creating an authentic, rustic atmosphere.
Custom Board and Batten Paneling: The walls feature custom board and batten paneling, designed to look slightly worn, adding a lived-in, timeless aesthetic. This subtle aging effect contributes to the room’s inviting feel while maintaining a high-end look.
